Allocations included Normanton, Starbeck, York and Hull Dairycoates from where it was withdrawn in October 1961.Cut up by 02/62 at an unknown site.

10 B.R. (M) Station Enamel Totem Sign "RAVENGLASS". Fully flanged. Some face restoration, slightly bent. Good condition.  
11 Chromed Diesel Locomotive Worksplate "B R C & W - DEL 70 - 1958". As carried by Class 26 BR No D5325 - becoming 26025. Ex Loco condition. Not common!!!!  
12 C/I Steam Locomotive Cabside Number plate "6102" As carried by a Collett designed ex GWR 2-6-2T built at Swindon Works in May 1931. Allocations included Southall, Old Oak Common, Bristol Bath Rd, Newport Ebbw Jct, Severn Tunnel Jct and Reading from where it was withdrawn in August 1959. Cut up at Swindon Works 12/59.  
13 Mahogany Cased Signal Box Control Telegraph Instrument with circular surround to the sounding bars and radiused moulded base board. (Ex GN Boston).

30 Brass - East African Railways Steam Locomotive Nameplate "BASESE" Loco Number 3120. As carried by a ex Tribal Class 2-8-4. VR 6251 - 1955. Size 34" x 7".  
31 Midland Railway Mahogany Cased Signal Box Rotary Block Instrument. Ex Dent Signal Box  
32 Brass Steam Locomotive Cabside Number plate "426" As carried by a Dunbar designed ex GWR 0-6-2T built by Robert Stephenson & Co in March 1914. This was originally an ex Brecon & Merthyr Railway Loco numbered No 41 but subsequently renumbered by the GWR as No 888 in 1924 and again as No 426 in April 1947. Allocated to Basseleg mpd until the depot closed in 1929 then reallocated to Newport (Alexandra Docks) shed and moving on for its final few years to Llantrisant. One of B&M's larger Locos used for hauling heavy freight from collieries in the Merthyr Valley to the docks at Newport. No 426 was one of 13 B&MR locos to survive into BR ownership. Withdrawn in March 1950. Un-restored front with the numbers lightly polished and ex loco back with Caerphilly in old faded paint.

38 GWR Clock 16 inch dial clock marked G W R with chain driven fusee movement and spun brass bezel. The dial surround and back box are of oak construction the back box has two side and one lower doors and retains its Ivorine plate No 4247.Complete with pendulum , key and in full working order.  
39 Brass Oval Steam Locomotive Works plate "LMS BUILT 1952 CREWE". As carried by Britannia 4-6-2 No 70032 Named "TENNYSON" number painted on the back. Front Restored, back ex loco.  
40 C/I Steam Locomotive Smoke box Number plate "43709" As carried by a Johnson designed 3F ex LMS 0-6-0 Tender Locomotive built by Sharp, Stewart & Co, Glasgow in December 1901.Allocated to Burton-on Trent for most of its working life it was withdrawn from there in August 1962.Cut up at Derby Works 09/62.

49 Steel German Steam Locomotive Number Plate "86 777". As carried by a Class 86 Built 1942 by BMAG (Berliner Maschinenbau AG, formerly "L. Schwartzkopff, Berlin" works No12017. Entered into service 20 Nov 1942 by Deutsche Reichsbahn as 86 777. Withdrawn 5th July 1967 at Kassel shed, Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB). Standardized 2-8-2 freight tank locomotive. Built 1927 to 1943 by various suppliers. Total of 776 engines. As removed.

62 C/I Steam Locomotive Smoke box Number plate "6371" As carried by Churchward designed ex GWR 43xx class 2-6-0 Locomotive built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn in May 1921.Allocations included Penzance, Neyland, Exeter and Machynlleth from where it was withdrawn in September 1960. Cut up at Swindon Works 03/61.?

65 GWR/BR (WR) 1947 Pattern Wooden Cased Double line BLOCK INSTRUMENT. With two suspended vertical needles behind a glass window. Bakelite commutator on the front to indicate line clear etc. As Box condition.

93 A Comprehensive Collection of Postcards published by the London and North Western Railway between 1904 and 1918. This collection of over 1,360 different postcards has been accumulated over a number of decades, and is presented in 5 albums in Alsop catalogue order. The postcards are mainly unwritten and in better average condition than normally found, and includes many very difficult to find postcards. The individual values amount to a sum in the region of £6,000, however the harder task would be to find them all. A rare opportunity to purchase such a collection.

99 A Pair of C/I Midland Railway Signal Box Levers complete with Brass Signal Box lever Plates attached "DISC FROM DOWN SIDINGS TO DOWN LINE". "POINTS DOWN SIDING & DOWN LINE". Removed from Appleby West Signal Box.  
100 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "BIBBY LINE" as carried by the Southern Railway Merchant Navy 4-6-2 Pacific originally numbered 21C20 when built at Eastleigh Works in June 1945 but renumbered by BR as No "35020" in May 1948. Allocations included Nine Elms and Weymouth from where it was withdrawn in February 1965 after running 981,479 miles. Cut up at Eastleigh Works in March 1965. The nameplate was presented to Bibby Line by BR and purchased by the original vendor in 1966 as evidenced by the accompanying letter. Lightly polished and with the original paint not skimmed but has some professionally executed restoration of the enamel crest. Supplied with the original BR wooden presentation plaque.

103 C/I Shed Plate "33A" PLAISTOW. Front restored. The vendor as a thirteen year old boy visited Plaistow at the end of steam on a regular basis and on his last visit asked one of the shed fitter's who he got to know "any chance of some shed plates". The fitter obliged and walked around the shed with his spanner and asked the boy which ones he wanted. 35C, 36B, 21A, SC Plate and 33B was given to him out of the stores un drilled!!!!!!

108 Webb and Thompson - SINGLE LINE SIGNALLING STAFF - "CHACEWATER - ST AGNES” The sections Chacewater to St Agnes and St Agnes to Perranporth were protected by the Webb - Thompson train staff system only these two staffs were used. 23" long, “Green example!

112 Brass Steam Locomotive Cabside Number Plate "7022" As carried by a Collett designed Castle class 4-6-0 named "HEREFORD CASTLE" built at Swindon Works in June 1949. Allocations included Cardiff Canton, Plymouth Laira, Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester Horton Road from where it was withdrawn in June 1965 after accumulating 733,069 miles. Cut up at R.S.Hayes, Bridgend 10/65.

121 Brass Oval Steam Locomotive Works plate. As carried by a Gresley J39 Class 0-6-0. No 64767. "LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY No 4767 BUILT DARLINGTON WORKS 1928". Front restored.

150 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "VICTOR WILD" from the LNER A3 Class No "60105" 4-6-2 built at Doncaster, Works No 1566 in 1923. It was allocated new to Kings Cross and had spells at Doncaster, Gorton, Leicester (GC) before being withdrawn from Grantham 32B in June 1963 and eventually being scrapped at its birthplace in the August of the same year. Note: The locomotive was named after a racehorse which won the 1896 Kempton Park Jubilee Handicap. The vendor's father was a railway man who worked on the footplate at Kings Cross and put in a request to purchase the nameplate on its withdrawal. Totally Ex Loco. The second nameplate resides in Doncaster School Museum.

Built 1905 by Hudswell Clarke in Leeds for the Burtonport extension, and scrapped in 1954. No 12 and sister locomotive no. 11 were the only tender engines to ever run on the Irish narrow gauge railways and were the first engines in Ireland to have eight coupled wheels. Ex Loco condition as removed. There were only two of these locos with this wheel arrangement. Another Extremely Rare Find.

In English this translates as the surname of Patrick Sarsfield, one of Irelands greatest heroes from the time of the war in Ireland, 1688 to 1691, between two English kings James the second and William the third. The pronunciation is "Soarshale". This express train ran between Dublin Kingsbridge and Limerick. As removed condition.

250B C/I Steam Locomotive Smoke box Number plate "6023" As carried by a Collett designed ex GWR King Class 4-6-0 named "KING EDWARD II" built at Swindon Works in June 1930.Allocations included Plymouth Laira, Newton Abbot, Old Oak Common and Cardiff Canton from where it was withdrawn in June 1962.Purchased by Woodhams of Barry in December 1962 it remained there for nearly twenty years but eventually left as the 159th Locomotive to depart from Barry. After a number of failed preservation projects it finally ended up in the safe hands of the GWS at Didcot in 1989 where after a number of years it has once again become a working locomotive and has been painted in a very attractive Blue. The plate has an original back and the front numbers have been lightly polished this is the first time this item has been in auction and is therefore a wonderful opportunity to own a piece of history.

This clock was located at WICKHAM Blocking Hall. Fully serviced and complete with pendulum and keys.

Absorbed into GWR stock on the 1st January 1948 and renumbered accordingly for many years this locomotive resided at Cardiff Docks with spells at Caerphilly, Dowlais and Rhymney. In 1954 it was moved from Radyr to Swindon works to be cut there in 1955. Restored front, the back being ex loco it is rare to find a two figure example with GWR stamping.
