Lot 150 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "VICTOR WILD" from the LNER A3 Class No "60105" 4-6-2 built at Doncaster, Works No 1566 in 1923. It was allocated new to Kings Cross and had spells at Doncaster, Gorton, Leicester (GC) before being withdrawn from Grantham 32B in June 1963 and eventually being scrapped at its birthplace in the August of the same year. Note: The locomotive was named after a racehorse which won the 1896 Kempton Park Jubilee Handicap. The vendor's father was a railway man who worked on the footplate at Kings Cross and put in a request to purchase the nameplate on its withdrawal. Totally Ex Loco.
