446A		On 26th September 2023 Modern Railways and CrossCountry joined forces to organise a charity railtour to mark the withdrawal of CrossCountry's HSTs after 41 years' service. Proceeds from the 'Pines Express' special service from Leeds to the Swanage Railway will go to the Brain Tumour Charity, in memory of former Cross Country colleague Jo Taylor. Over 700 passengers enjoyed the day. Proceeds from the sale of this commemorative headboard, specially made for this one-off trip, will be added to the total raised for this very worthy cause. 446B		Alloy Diesel Locomotive Nameplate LUCANIA. As carried by Class 40 D224 becoming 40024 3/74. Allocated new to 5A Crewe North 8/59 it was named at Crewe Works on 15/8/62 without ceremony. A label on the back states that the nameplate was removed in 1971. Loco was withdrawn from Longsight 6/84 and cut up at Crewe Works 9/85. 447		Alloy Diesel Hydraulic Locomotive Nameplate WESTERN GOVERNOR. As carried by Class 52 'Western' No. D1054. New to 88A Cardiff Canton 3/63. Name carried from new until withdrawn from Laira 11/76. Cut up at Swindon works 5/77. Ex-loco condition with maroon and blue paint showing to the rear and sides. Offered together with a reproduction matching alloy numberplate D1054. 448		Alloy Diesel Locomotive Nameplate EARL MOUNTBATTEN OF BURMA. As carried by Class 33 33027. New to 73C Hither Green as D6545 3/61. Loco was named at Waterloo station on 2/9/80 by the Countess Mountbatten of Burma. Nameplates removed 8/89 at Eastleigh Works and transferred to 33207 (ex D6592) on 23/8/89 without ceremony. Nameplates removed 10/96. Ex-loco condition. Offered with its original Alloy Shield 'In Honour Bound', as fitted underneath the above nameplate EARL MOUNTBATTEN OF BURMA. 449		Alloy Electro-Diesel Nameplate Badges ex BROADLANDS. These are the original two badges depicting the coat of arms of Test Valley and Borough of Romsey and were fitted below the nameplate when carried by 73142 previously E6049 and later 73201. The loco was named at Romsey station on 25/9/80 by Lord Romsey and carried until 4/99 by which time it was a Gatwick Express loco numbered 73201. This loco was used to haul the empty stock for the Mountbatten funeral train on 5/9/79 and was the first Class 73 to be named. It was renamed BROADLANDS again on 21/5/09 during the centenary of Eastleigh Works celebrations and is still in service with GB Railfreight. Ex-loco condition. 450		Alloy Electro-Diesel Nameplate Badge featuring a coat of arms as fitted below the nameplate CROYDON 1883-1983 when loco No. 73121 was named at East Croydon station during the borough's centenary celebrations. 451		Alloy Diesel Locomotive Nameplate DAVIES THE OCEAN. As carried by Waterman Railways 'Heritage Class' 47 No. 47488. New to 86A Cardiff Canton as D1713 5/64, renumbered to 47488 on 22/2/74. Officially named at Rhymney station, Cardiff Valleys, on 8/5/95 although nameplates had been fitted at The Railway Age, Crewe, on 20/1/95 and covered up. 455		Alloy Electric Locomotive Worksplate BRUSH TRACTION LOCOMOTIVE No. 1045 1993. As carried by a Class 9 Tri-Bo Euro Tunnel Shuttle Loco No. 9018. Delivered in November 1993 and allocated to Coquelles depot in France. It was named WILHELMENIA FERNANDEZ, an opera singer, at Coquelles on 19/12/96. Still in service.
