83 Brass Industrial Locomotive Worksplate "ANDREW BARCLAY 895 - 1901". As carried by 0-4-0ST with O/C. Ex works on 24th April 1901 to the Consett Iron Co Ltd at Consett Ironworks, Co Durham. It transferred briefly to the Company's Langley Park Colliery & Coke Ovens on 2nd November 1937, returning on 30th December 1937 to Consett where it spent the remainder of its working life until scrapped there in April 1959. Dial
A white enamel painted dial displaying Roman numerals and the GWR in the 1930's Roundel device, surrounded by a spun brass bezel with a plastered in sight ring.

Case
A traditional English dial trunk case manufactured out of mahogany. A turned convex surround affixed to the back box by two battens with four tapered pegs, the back box is of traditional late 19TH century design with two side access doors and a bottom door secured with a brass lock. 		£1500

120 A Superb Scratch Built 3inch Gauge 4-6-0 Live Steam Loco. Based on design work completed before the Second World War on real locomotives. Although the boiler certificate has lapsed the motion has been checked using compressed air and reportedly "runs like clockwork". The gentlemen who built this loco Mr. B. C. Symes, was employed by the LNER as Assistant Chief Mechanical Engineer who had Gresley as his boss in the 1920/30’s. The loco is complete and mounted on its own section of track. £1700

150 A Superb "Swiss Station Master's Desk Clock / Pocket Watch" is believed to be late Victorian and Swiss in origin. It is solid silver with a 15 jewel Brequet anti- magnetic movement and had the dual function of being a Station Master's timepiece for use in the office and on the platform. A typical locomotive of the period is inscribed on the dial and rear case cover. It has a 24 hour movement and is in perfect working order. It is complete with its original leather case which doubles up as a desk stand. A very rare and desirable pocket watch.

Later sheds were 83F St. Blazey, 83A Newton Abbot (for banking and pilot work), 89C Machynlleth, 84E Tyseley, 84F Stourbridge Junction and finally 84B Oxley from where it was withdrawn in November 1964. Stored there until January 1965, Cut up Cashmores at Great Bridge. (This yard disposed of seven Manors). There is no building called COCKINGTON MANOR, which is a Domesday Book reference to the local area. The model village a mile or so west of Torquay is the location of a well-known Elizabethan house COCKINGTON COURT, owned by the Devon Rural Skills Trust.

336A (SNLW) In the 1960’s BR wanted to phase out the paraffin 3 colour/4 colour hand signal lamp. SNLW was asked to make up samples for a trial using batteries as a power source. A sample of Item 13 was submitted, followed by the manufacture of a batch of Item 14. Some were also supplied to London Transport. BR did not take up these patterns instead opting for an aluminium die cast body produced by a manufacturer in Southampton.
