Brass Stationary Steam Engine Worksplate "B GOODFELLOW - PATENTEE AND MAKER HYDE 1860 No. 386". 6.5in wide. Mr Benjamin Goodfellow (1811-1863) was a former President of the Mechanics Institute. Goodfellows carried out much work on the James Watt engines that can still be seen at Crossness Pumping Station by the Thames in North Kent.
