Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate FIRTH OF FORTH as carried by a Riddles designed BR Standard Britannia class 7P6F 4-6-2 Number 70051 built at Crewe works in August 1954


Allocations Included Glasgow Polmadie, Glasgow Corkerhill, Crewe North, Holyhead, Crewe South, Banbury and Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in December 1967


Cut up at McWilliams, Shettleston, Glasgow 03/68. This plate has been in the owner’s possession for over 40 years.

Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate 74 SQUADRON


As carried on a Bulleid Battle of Britain class 4-6-2


No. 34080 built at Brighton works in August 1948.


​Alloy Diesel Locomotive Nameplate TEESSIDE STEELMASTER. ​First carried by Class 37 No. 37078, named at BSC Lackenby Works 4/7/84 by Tim Allison, staff competition winner to name loco.


​Nameplates removed 2/87 and transferred to 37501 at Thornaby TMD 3/87 until 1/91. Finally fitted to 37712 at Thornaby TMD 9/92 and carried until 4/97..


​37501 is still in service and was renamed Teesside Steelmaster on 5/3/25. 37078 was scrapped at EMR, Kingsbury 02/04 and 37712 is stored at Carnforth. Ex-loco as removed condition.Size 59in x 17.75in.

C/I Steam Locomotive Smoke box numberplate 30700 as carried by a Drummond designed ex LSWR/SR class 700 “Black Motor” 0-6-0 built by Dubbs & Co, Glasgow in May 1897.


Allocations included Bournemouth, Eastleigh, Nine Elms, Guildford and Exmouth Junction from where it was withdrawn in November 1962. Cut up at Eastleigh Works 05/64. This plate is in ex Locomotive Condition.


A unique and rare opportunity to own a Steel Steam Locomotive flame cut cab side numberplate size approx. “x “ from Jubilee class 45565 VICTORIA this was carried by the Stanier designed ex LMS Class 6P 4-6-0 built for the North British Locomotive Co Ltd, Glasgow in August 1934.


Allocations included Leeds Holbeck, Wakefield and Low Moor from where it was withdrawn in January 1967. Cut up at Draper’s, Sculcoates Yard, Hull 06/67.


Brass Steam Locomotive Cabside Numberplate 7782 as carried by a Collett designed ex GWR 57xx class 0-6-0 PT built by Armstrong Whitworth, Scotswood, Newcastle-upon- Tyne in November 1930.


Allocations included St.Philips Marsh, Bristol Bath Road, Weymouth and Bristol Barrow Road from where it was withdrawn in October 1964.


Cut up at Swindon works 01/65.



Brass Steam Locomotive Cabside Numberplate 6684 as carried by a Collett designed ex GWR 56xx class 0-6-2T built at Swindon works in October 1928.


Allocations included Landore, Stourbridge Jct, Cardiff Cathays, and Radyr from where it was withdrawn in November 1964.


Cut up at Buttigieg’s, Newport, South Wales 04/65.



Built in 1913, Topaz is a 1st Class Parlour car built at Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Works Co. Ltd., Smethwick in 1913 and entered service with South Eastern & Chatham Railway in 1914. The carriage was then presented to the British Transport Commission at the Clapham Museum of British Transport in 1961”


It ran on services between London and the South Coast, on pre-war continental boat trains and the Bournemouth Belle. The carriage was withdrawn in 1960 and restored by the Pullman Car Company.


During this restoration Topaz’s livery was reverted from umber and cream back to its original pre1920s crimson.
