Lot 428 Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway tapper block bell in a typically austere LYR pattern mahogany case. Quite unusual in that most LYR bells were non-tapper, the bell codes being given by plungers on the block instruments. Condition appears to be pretty good but may need a little fettling to get everything to fit together again properly.
