Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "EARL OF DARTMOUTH" as carried by a Collett designed ex GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 No "5047" - named new as "COMPTON CASTLE" when built at Swindon works in April 1936. By 20 August 1937 was renamed "Earl of Dartmouth" and carried the name throughout until withdrawal. Allocations included Landore, Newton Abbot, Plymouth Laira and Wolverhampton Stafford Road from where it was withdrawn in September 1962. Cut up at Swindon works 03/63.

Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "BLAKEMERE GRANGE" as carried by a Collett designed ex GWR 4-6-0 No. "6810" built at Swindon works in November 1936. Allocations included Cardiff Canton, Pontypool Road, Neath and Llanelli from where it was withdrawn in October 1964. Cut up at R.S Hayes, Bridgend, South Wales 08/65. This is the left-hand nameplate.

Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "DIDLINGTON HALL" as carried by a Collett designed ex GWR Hall class 4-6-0 No. "6940" built at Swindon works in August 1942. Allocations included Plymouth Laira, Newton Abbot, Wolverhampton Stafford Road, Oxley, Newton Abbott, Cheltenham, Worcester, Swindon and Gloucester Horton Road from where it was withdrawn in May 1964. Cut up at Cashmore's, Great Bridge 08/64. This is the left hand side plate.

Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "LANGFORD COURT" as carried by Churchward designed ex GWR Saint class 4-6-0 No. "2946" built at Swindon works in June 1912. Allocated to Bristol Bath Road, Hereford, and Westbury from where it was withdrawn in November 1949. Cut up at Swindon works on an Unknown date. Langford Court was built in 1651 and renovated in the early 19th Century and again in 1875. It is designated a Grade II listed building.

Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "SIR VINCENT RAVEN" as carried by a Peppercorn designed ex LNER/BR Class A1 4-6-2 No. "60126" built at Doncaster works in April 1949. Allocations included just Heaton and York, from where it was withdrawn in January 1965. Cut up at Draper's, Sculcoates yard, Hull 04/65. Sir Vincent Raven was an English railway engineer and was Chief Mechanical Engineer of the North Eastern Railway from 1910 to 1922.

Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "MORGAN LE FAY" as carried by a Riddles designed BR Standard class 5 4-6-0 No. "73112" built at Doncaster works in October 1955. Allocated to only Eastleigh and Nine Elms throughout its working life it was withdrawn from the latter in 06/65. Cut up at T. Ward's Beighton, Sheffield 02/66.

Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "KING PELLINORE" as carried by Urie/Maunsell ex LSWR/SR King Arthur class N15 4-6-0 No. 30738 built at Eastleigh Works in December 1919. Allocations included Nine Elms, Feltham, Bournemouth and Basingstoke from where it was withdrawn in March 1958. Cut up at Eastleigh works 03/58.

Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "FALLODON" as carried by a Gresley designed ex LNER Class B2 4-6-0, a Sandringham rebuild No. 61616 built at Darlington works in October 1930. Allocated to only Colchester and Cambridge it was withdrawn from the latter in September 1959. Cut up at Stratford Works 01/60. Fallodon is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of Newton-by-the-Sea, Northumberland.

Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "DEFIANCE" as carried by a Stanier designed ex LMS Jubilee Class 6P 4-6-0 No. "45728" built at Crewe works in October 1936. Allocations included Carlisle Upperby, Carlisle Kingmoor and Agecroft from where it was withdrawn in October 1962. Cut up at Cowlairs works, Springburn, Glasgow 11/63.

Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "ST ALBAN'S HEAD" as carried by a Marsh designed ex SR class H2 "Atlantic" 4-4-2 No. 32426 built at Brighton works in January 1912. Allocations included Newhaven, Bricklayers Arms and Brighton from where it was withdrawn in August 1956. Cut up 02/57 at an unknown location. St. Albans Head is a headland 5km from Swanage, Dorset
