NOTICE - MODERN TRACTION COLLECTORS

Please note: Our Diesel/Electric Worksplates/Nameplates have all been vetted and are guaranteed genuine and are either ex-loco or front repainted/rear ex-loco.

We do NOT accept or handle items that have been, or known to have been, face repainted and then ARTIFICIALLY WEATHERED in what amounts to be a fraudulent act carried out to deliberately increase the perceived value of a plate.

Electric Locomotive Worksplate "MANUFACTURED AT CREWE 1989 - BRITISH RAIL ENGINEERING LIMITED". As carried by Class 90 90002. After trials this loco was taken into stock at Willesden 04/88. Named 'The Girls' Brigade' 4/93 to 2/97, 'Mission Impossible' 3/97 to 12/04 whilst with Virgin Trains and 'Eastern Daily Press 1870-2010 - Serving Norfolk for 140 Years' 5/13 to 3/20 whilst with Greater Anglia. Still in service, now operated by Locomotive Services Ltd and named 'Wolf of Badenoch'. Oval alloy, front restored, rear ex-loco.

Alloy Diesel Locomotive Worksplate "BRITISH RAILWAYS DERBY BUILT 1964. POWER EQUIPMENT BY ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES AND SULZER". As carried by Class 25 D5294/25144. New to 16A Toton 9/64, renumbered to 25144 5/74 and withdrawn from Bescot 4/83 due to collision damage. Moved to Swindon Works 7/84 for scrapping but due to the works closure it was sold to Vic Berry, Leicester and moved to their yard 6/87 and cut up the same month. Front repainted, back ex-loco.

Alloy Diesel Locomotive Worksplate "BRITISH RAILWAYS CREWE BUILT 1966. POWER EQUIPMENT BY BRUSH ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING COMPANY LTD AND SULZER." As carried by a Class 47 D1996/47294. New to 50A York 6/66, renumbered to 47294 2/74 and withdrawn from Immingham 6/96. Cut up by staff of HNRC at Toton 12/02. Front repainted, back ex-loco.

Diesel Locomotive Worksplate "THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD. LONDON, No. 2677/D438. 1959. THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LTD. LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND". As carried by Class 40 D221/40021. New to 5A Crewe North 07/59. Named 'Ivernia' 03/61 until removed about 1971. Withdrawn from LO Longsight 07/76 and cut up at BREL Crewe 05/77. Chromed brass in restored condition.

New to 17A Derby 11/61, renumbered to 45145 12/74 and unofficially named 'Scylla' at Tinsley 08/87. Withdrawn from Tinsley 02/88 and stored until sold to MC Metal Processing, Glasgow in 1991 and cut up 02/92. Front restored, back ex-loco.

Brass Diesel Multiple Unit Builders Plate "GLOUCESTER RAILWAY CARRIAGE & WAGON COMPANY LTD. BUILDERS GLOUCESTER, ENGLAND". As removed from Class 100 DMBS E51126 which was withdrawn from Norwich 12/77 and scrapped by A. King, Snailwell 04/81. These plates were fitted on the solebar alongside the usual worksplate. Ex DMU condition.

Diesel Locomotive Worksplate "THE CLAYTON EQUIPMENT Co. Ltd RECORD WORKS, HATTON, DERBY, ENGLAND SERIAL No. 46365/U81-1963" As carried by Class 17 D8580. New to 64B Haymarket 03/64 and withdrawn from there 10/71 having never been reallocated. Stored at Haymarket, Millerhill Yard and then Glasgow Works from 10/72 to 09/75. Sold and moved to A. King Norwich and cut up there 11/75. Cast aluminium in ex-loco condition.

Diesel Locomotive Worksplate "THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD LONDON No 3126/D676-1961 THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LTD LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND" As carried by Class 40 D380/40180. New to 1B Camden 03/62. Renumbered to 40180 03/74 and withdrawn from Crewe Diesel Depot 05/83. Moved to Crewe Works 06/83 and cut up there 01/84. Chromed brass in ex-loco condition.

Diesel Locomotive Manufacturers plate "1200HP Co-Bo DIESEL ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE, METROPOLITAN-VICKERS ELECTRICAL LTD. TRAFFORD PARK, MANCHESTER 17, ENGLAND". Ex-Class 28 Co-Bo numbered D5700-D5719. These plates were fitted in each cab. Rectangular cast brass in ex-loco condition. Not common.

Diesel Locomotive Worksplate "GM LOCOMOTIVE GROUP - MANUFACTURED AT LA GRANGE, US, LONDON, CANADA SERIAL No. 968702-210 02/00". As carried by Class 66 66210. Loco arrived at Newport Docks aboard the MV Stellaprima on 22/3/00 and was allocated to Toton on 25/3/00. Transferred to Euro Cargo Rail 01/08 working in France and Germany. Rectangular stainless steel in ex-loco condition.

Electric Locomotive Worksplate "BRUSH TRACTION LOCOMOTIVE No. 1078-1994". As carried by Class 92 92016. Introduced 10/94 it was named 'Brahms' when built and was officially named at Crewe International Electric Open Day that month. Nameplates removed 07/11. After a period of storage it was allocated to Crewe Electric 09/95 operated by Railfreight Distribution. Loco currently with DB Cargo UK and stored. Rectangular alloy in ex loco condition front and back.
