Lot 143 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "BYRON" as carried by R. Riddles designed BR class 7P6F 4-6-2 No. 70031, built at Crewe works in November 1952. Allocations included Holyhead, Longsight, Trafford Park, Aston, Willesden, Crewe North, Crewe South, Carlisle Upperby and Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in November 1967. Cut up at J. Mcwilliams, Shettleston, Glasgow 03/68. Lord Byron was an English Poet and Satirist of the 1800s, born in 1788 and died in 1824. Face cleaned condition.
