Lot 191 C/I Steam Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate "43028" as carried by an Ivatt designed 4MT 2-6-0 built at Horwich works in March 1949. Allocations included Sutton Oak, Tebay, Carlisle Upperby, Carlisle Canal, Heaton Mersey, Workington and Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in December1967. Cut up at Motherwell Machinery & Scrap Co Ltd, Wishaw, Glasgow 02/68. Painted black front and back with a BR weld to rear. Last time in auction 1993.
