Lot 79 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "BEATTY". As carried by a Wm Stanier designed ex LMS Jubilee class 4-6-0 No. 45677, built at Crewe Works in December 1935. Allocations included Crewe North, Carlisle Upperby, Camden, Polmadie, Perth and Glasgow Corkerhill, from where it was withdrawn in December 1962. Cut up at Campbell's, Shieldhall, Glasgow 12/64. The plate is in totally Ex Loco Condition. The loco was named after Admiral Beatty who died in 1936. Note: This item does not form part of the Kenneth Phillips Collection.
