Lot 250 Steam Locomotive Nameplate "NELSON" As carried by a Stanier designed ex LMS 4-6-0 Jubilee class locomotive No "45664". Built at Derby Works in January 1935. Allocations included Trafford Park, Canklow, Agecroft, Newton Heath, Speke Jct, Warrington Dallam from where it was withdrawn after a period in store at Leeds Holbeck in May 1965. Cut up at Draper's Neptune Street, Hull 07/65. This first time in auction, the nameplate is in ex loco condition still retaining its original Nuts and bolts and green and Maroon paint on the rims and on the rear. Named after Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson whose exploits at the battle of Trafalgar in 1805 made him one of Britain's most famous and heroic individuals.
