AUCTION INFORMATION

We are pleased to say that the running of our businesses, namely Crewe Heritage Railwayana Auctions and Mid-Hants Railwayana Auctions, remains largely unaffected. We will continue to run our popular regular telephone/email/postal auctions throughout 2021 until further notice and at such time that we can all meet safely again at live venues.

Welcome to our 7th online telephone/email auction, which runs from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th September 2021.

BUYING: Our next Crewe Heritage Auction will be held over the weekend of Friday 10th to Sunday 12th September 2021 and dedicated solely to the LMS Jubilee nameplate and number plate collection of the late Kenneth Phillips. Viewing of the items in person can be made on Saturday 4th September at Crewe Heritage Centre between 10am and 5pm with free courtesy shuttle vintage bus running between Crewe mainline station and the Heritage Centre.

'Jubilee' plate collectors are invited to bring their own nameplates and numberplates to add to a wonderful display. Please confirm your attendance in advance.

The viewing day will be followed by POSTAL/EMAIL/TELEPHONE Auction between the 10-12 September, 2021 via www.ukrailwayana.com

Auction to include 18 'Jubilee' nameplates, 20 'Jubilee' smokebox numberplates, 24 shedcode plates from 'Jubilee'-stabled sheds, five named Express headboards and ten smokebox numberplates from other locomotives.

Hidden away in his bachelor's house, other relic collectors had no idea what Kenneth, a former Peterborough New England shed fireman, had spirited away from loco sheds at the end of steam and even if the items had survived at all.

Specialist railwayana auctioneer Neil Booth said: "This is by far the find of the decade in steam locomotive collecting circles and we look forward to them finding new homes when they come to auction in September. These items have been tucked away for sixty years and make up an astonishing collection to be able to offer to today's collectors. We have already had strong interest from collectors who can now have the opportunity to match numberplates with their nameplates and vice-versa."

COLLECTION: Our regional agents will continue to be able to collect items from you, socially-distanced at your doorstep/drive by prior appointment only under the strictest Covid-19 aware conditions.

DELIVERY: We also offer a safe and secure personal delivery service throughout the UK at a pre-arranged cost after the auction has finished. No expensive couriers or highly-inflated charges!
