Lot 102 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "CLAN MACGREGOR" as carried by a R. Riddles designed BR Standard Class 6P5F 4-6-2 No 72005, built at Crewe works February 1952. Allocations were only Edinburgh Haymarket and Carlisle Kingmoor, from where it was withdrawn in May 1965. Cut up at Arnott Young, West of Scotland Shipbreaking, Troon 08/65. Macgregor is a Scottish Highland clan that claims an origin in the early 800s. The clan's most famous member being Rob Roy. Front restored, back ex-loco. Only 10 in the class.
