Lot 6 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "BRITISH GUIANA". As carried by a W. Stanier designed ex LMS Class 6P 4-6-0 Number "45601" built by the North British Locomotive Co, Glasgow in April 1935. Allocations included Crewe North , Rugby, Willesden, Camden, Bushbury and Newton Heath from where it was withdrawn in September 1964. Cut up at the Central Wagon Co, Ince, Wigan 05/65. Seven bolt holes in plate with an ex-loco back. Has taken many dinks and knocks in service life and has signs of original Jubilee green paint present. Recovered by the late vendor at the end of steam and never before offered at auction.
