Lot 13 Brass Steam Locomotive Nameplate "PUNJAB". As carried by a W. Stanier designed ex LMS Class 6P 4-6-0 Number "45579" built at the North British Locomotive Co, Glasgow in September 1934. Allocations included Crewe North, Carlisle Upperby Aberdeen, Polmadie, Kentish Town, Derby, Saltley, Burton and Derby from where it was withdrawn in August 1964. Cut up at Cashmore's, Great Bridge 11/64. The plate has six bolt holes and shows layers of genuine service crud to top and bottom rims. Recovered by the late vendor at the end of steam and never before offered at auction.
