Lot 40 Oval Alloy Diesel Locomotive Worksplate "BRUSH TRACTION No 280 - 1961 ENGLAND". As carried by prototype locomotive D0280 / 1200 Named 'FALCON'. Allocated to Finsbury Park for trials 10/61, then Stratford and back to Brush in December 1961. Further trials on the Western Region 1962/63 until returned to Brush again until Jan 1965. Allocated then to 82A Bristol Bath Road for crew training until a visit to Swindon Works for collision damage in June 1969. Taken into BR stock 12/70 and renumbered 1200, allocated to 82A Bristol Bath Road. Withdrawn from Newport Ebbw Junction 10/75 and cut up by J Cashmore, Newport 03/76. Totally as removed - Ex Loco condition. A "ONE-OFF CHANCE TO ACQUIRE THIS SPECIAL PLATE - WHICH IN MODERN TRACTION CIRCLES IS RECOGNISED AS ONE OF THE TOP TEN DIESEL WORKSPLATES!
