Lot 255 C/I G.W.R. Signal Box Nameplate "QUEENS HEAD SIGNAL BOX" this box was officially opened in December 1907 and saw almost sixty years of service being officially closed in September 1972. It was manned until March 1967 and completely demolished before the official closure in the early summer of 1972. Queens Head sidings were near to Handsworth Station on the former Great Western Mainline between Birmingham Snow Hill and Wolverhampton. Restored a long time ago. Size 81" x 9".
