Lot 35 C/I Steam Locomotive Smokebox Number plate "42778" As carried by a Hughes designed ex LMS Crab 2-6-0 tender locomotive built at Crewe Works in September 1927. Allocations included Longsight, Birkenhead Mollington St, Stoke, Crewe South, Lancaster Green Ayre, Bolton and Gorton from where it was withdrawn in April 1965.Cut up at the Central Wagon Co, Ince, Wigan 07/65. Front restored.
