Lot 199B SPECIAL HISTORIC ITEM Brass Nameplate "HURRICANE" As carried by a Henry Greenly designed 4-6-2 15 inch gauge Pacific Locomotive running as "No8" on the ROMNEY,HYTHE & DYMCHURCH RAILWAY built by Davey Paxman (16044) of Colchester and entering traffic on the 27th July 1927. The vendor's father was the gentleman who made the smoke deflectors that was fitted to this engine in the early 1960's and was given this nameplate as a payment for his services. It has been in his family ever since.
