Lot 230 A Very Early Southern Railway Brass Oval Cabside Numberplate "2545" As Carried by a RJ Billington designed Class C2X "Large Vulcans" 0-6-0 built by the Vulcan Foundry in December 1901.This number was carried from build date until March 1950.Allocations included Three Bridges, Norwood Jct from where it was withdrawn in December 1961.Cut up January 1962 at Ashford Works. Ex Loco condition. Size approx. 13" x 8". Rare survivor indeed!!!!!!
