Lot 245 C/I Steam Locomotive Worksplate. As carried by a Canadian Pacific Railroad D6B Class 4-6-0 3 Cylinder Compounds. Built by North British Locomotive Company in 1903 to order No L9, Works Numbers 16034 to 16053 at their Hyde Park Works. These locomotives were originally known as class ST12 and carried running numbers 981 to 1000. They were renumbered and re-classified D6B under the Vaughn system and carried running numbers 520 to 539. Some were rebuilt in 1921 to simple expansion locomotives. It would appear that this plate is a replacement or additional works plate fitted in 1905 in keeping with the standard type rectangular plates fitted on CPR locomotives. Some locomotives were scrapped pre WW2 the remainder soon after.
