Lot 200 GWR Brass Nameplate "KINGSWEAR CASTLE" As carried by a Collett designed 4-6-0 Castle Locomotive No “5015” built at Swindon in 7/32. Allocations included Cardiff, Exeter, Laira, Shrewsbury, OOC, Stafford Rd, Swindon, Bristol Bath Rd, Landore, OOC, and last Shed 88L Cardiff East Dock. Wdn 4/63. Cut up at T W Wards, Sheffield 1/64. The nameplate has been cleaned and polished many years ago, showing its number (5015) and (L) stamped on the rear for the left hand plate. A wonderful opportunity to own an iconic Castle Nameplate that is everything about the Great Western Railway and a location well known to all enthusiasts. The other side resides in the G W Museum at Didcot. This plate has been with the vendor for the past 30 Years.
