Brass Steam Locomotive Worksplate. A rare matched pair of large brass Alco (American Locomotive Company) Worksplates as carried by a SNCF 141R 2-8-2 Number 141R291 Locomotive supplied by United States Transportation Army Corps. One plate is the manufacturer's Worksplate the other is the United States Transportation Corps plate referencing the contract and the fact the loco was supplied to France. Matched pairs of these plates are very rare. These locomotives were the last of French steam in service lasting into the 1970s. Front cleaned rear in ex loco condition.
