Lot 200 A Stunning Rarity! - An Engraved "W.C & E. Ry" TIE PIN. From the Whitehaven, Cleator & Egremont Railway. Opened in 1855 for goods and 1857 to passengers. Taken over in 1878 by the LNWR Ry, then jointly operated with the Furness Railway. In 1923 it became part of the LMS. The line was closed in 1964. White metal - looks like silver but not marked at all. Never been offered in auction before. A unique piece of Railway History. Approx. 80 mm Long.
