Lot 120 A Superb Scratch Built 3inch Gauge 4-6-0 Live Steam Loco. Based on design work completed before the Second World War on real locomotives. Although the boiler certificate has lapsed the motion has been checked using compressed air and reportedly "runs like clockwork". The gentlemen who built this loco Mr. B. C. Symes, was employed by the LNER as Assistant Chief Mechanical Engineer who had Gresley as his boss in the 1920/30’s. The loco is complete and mounted on its own section of track.
